Photographic umbrellas come in a variety of types, sizes and colors and generally are excellent at covering a large area with light. Shoot through umbrellas are translucent and provide a soft light on the subject. Bounce back umbrellas reflect the light back from the inside of the umbrella surface into the scene. Based on the color of the umbrella, bounce back umbrellas can add contrast (silver), soft wash (white), warmth (gold), Reversible umbrellas are bounce back and provide two separate colored surfaced to use for bounce back. All-in-One umbrellas can either shoot through or white or silver bounce back. 8 in 1 umbrellas allow the umbrella to be configured in 8 unique ways. Umbrella boxes are bounce back umbrellas that include a translucent sealing fabric in the back (open portion) of the umbrella making the light that comes out very soft and wrap around. Jumbo umbrellas are just that, gigantic umbrellas. Umbrella kits include umbrellas, light stands and umbrella tilt heads.
